Welcome to the Central Youth Committee of Victoria and Tasmania

The Central Youth Committee of Victoria and Tasmania is under the jurisdiction of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia. We represent the Youth here in Victoria and Tasmania. From this webpage you will be able to keep up to date with the latest news and events which are organised by the Central Youth Committee, and each of the Parish fellowship groups around Melbourne and Tasmania. You will also find information about our Orthodox faith, and links to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia webpage which contains more information about our Orthodox faith.

  • VOLUNTEERS WANTED
    Volunteers wanted to help package and distribute Christmas Hampers to needy families in Melbourne. All our Churches in Melbourne will be collecting thousands of food and toy items on behalf of the Greek Welfare Centre of the Archdiocese based at the Holy Monastery of Axion Estin in Northcote. If you can help (for 1 day or more) please contact Edmund at the Welfare Centre on 9486 6588
  • ENGLISH CHOIR REHEARSALS FOR CHRISTMAS EVE DIVINE LITURGY IN ENGLISH
    Rehearsals are every Monday 7pm at St Dimitrios Church, 1 Gladstone St, Moonee Ponds. All welcome.
  • CHRISTMAS CHOIR REHEARSALS
    The Choir of the Archdiocese is preparing traditional Carols in Greek and English for the large Christmas Carols event to be held in Melbourne in December. Rehearsals every Wednesday at 7:30pm in the Hall of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, 221 Dorcas St South Melbourne. In the last week leading up to the event, there will be extra rehearsals: 16th, 17th & 18th December 2019, 7:30pm.
    New members are welcome - men, women, boys and girls of all ages.
